Stephen A. Scherer comes to the Theatre of Western Springs after teaching 28 years at Colorado Academy in Denver, Colorado. He was a director/designer/music director as well as head of the Theatre department where they produced an 8-show season yearly. His resume includes directing and designing over 50 shows and serving as musical director for over 25 shows. His favorite projects include A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, OKLAHOMA (Theatre On The Lake), and the regional premier of TITLE OF SHOW (director/designer). He has worked in many educational, community and professional theatre venues. Most recently, he worked on the CTWS productions of MEAN GIRLS, SEUSSICAL JR and NEWSIES JR. Originally from the Chicago area, he is very happy to be back in the Windy City and doing his ’thing’.
