At Theatre of Western Springs, we want everyone to feel welcome, comfortable, and able to fully experience the magic of live theatre. We are committed to making our performances and facilities accessible to as many members of our community as possible.
If you have questions about accessibility or need assistance planning your visit, please contact our Box Office.
ASL-Interpreted Performances
We offer select performances with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation. During these performances, professional ASL interpreters are positioned in the performance space to interpret the dialogue, music, and other elements of the production.
Our upcoming ASL-interpreted performances are:
- Barefoot in the Park | Saturday, September 19 at 2:00pm
- Working | Saturday, October 31 at 2:00pm
- The Hound of the Baskervilles | Saturday, January 30 at 2:00pm
- The Girl on the Train | Saturday, June 5 at 2:00pm
Planning to Use ASL Interpretation?
Use code MOTOASL when purchasing your tickets.
This code provides a discounted ticket and lets our team know that you plan to use the ASL interpretation service. Because our seating is not assigned, this helps us make sure we are prepared to welcome you when you arrive.
When you get to the theatre, let a member of our team know you are attending for the ASL-interpreted performance. We’ll direct you to the designated seating area with the best view of the interpreter.
Hearing Loop Assistance
Our theatre is equipped with a telecoil hearing loop system that works with compatible hearing aids and cochlear implants. The system transmits the performance audio directly to compatible devices, helping guests hear dialogue and other sounds more clearly.
If you use a hearing aid or cochlear implant with a telecoil (T-coil), please check with your audiologist or device manufacturer if you are unsure whether your device is compatible with a hearing loop.
Our Box Office team is also happy to answer questions about the system before your visit.
Wheelchair Accessibility
Theatre of Western Springs is wheelchair accessible. Our theatre provides accessible seating for guests who use wheelchairs, as well as seating for companions.
If you require wheelchair-accessible seating, please let the Box Office know when purchasing your tickets so we can make sure your seating needs are accommodated.
