Synopsis:
This Moss Hart/George S. Kaufman
comedy chronicles the trials and
tribulations of city dweller Newton
Fuller who craves and gets “a little
place in the country to call his own.”
Newton is persuaded to buy a
windowless, waterless, almost
roofless farmhouse under the false
assumption that George Washington
once slept there. Laughter erupts
when Newton has to deal with his
neighbors, the invasion of weekend
guests, and his wife’s reaction to his
idiocy in buying his country dream
house.
